FAQs
Do you have full policy sets?
Yes, we have full policy sets for customization. However, we believe that policies should be very specific to the pharmacy workflow, while still meeting the intent of applicable board of pharmacy regulations and accreditations. The best policies are created with input from key employees and understood by the entire team.
If I have an accreditation maintenance plan, is reaccreditation work included?
YES! We feel strongly that if we are maintaining your accreditation, you should always be ready for reaccreditation without additional fees. The labor required for uploading documents to URAC’s AccreditNet or working through RFI requests is all included in your monthly maintenance fee.
Is MetRx work hourly or project based?
First, we discuss the project scope to determine the client’s need. Our maintenance fees are one set fee per month for any work performed, with no hourly rate for work in scope. While project is unique, some typical agreements include:
Project fee for initial 50 state + DC sterile compounding and controlled substance licensure [time estimate: 6 months]
Monthly maintenance fee for multi-state licensure or accreditation(s)
Hourly agreement to assist PIC with multi-state licensure
I am building a pharmacy, can you help with my design?
Although MetRx does not work on the physical build of new pharmacies, we have an extensive network of consultants, brokers, and attorneys that we work with frequently and will connect with our clients. In addition to buying, selling, or building a pharmacy, we are also able to connect you with appropriate experts for specialty market access, sterile compounding compliance, patient management software solutions, contracting concerns, and legal questions.
Is PIC change or discipline reporting included in maintenance plans?
Yes. All license changes are included in a maintenance plan except a full 50-state change of ownership. License changes may include: adding controlled substance licensure, adding sterile or non-sterile compounding, change of PIC, discipline reporting, or PDMP waivers.
What about Secretary of State certificates and registered agency?
Our team will apply for Secretary of State registrations with the applicable Secretaries of State, and manage registered agent addresses for you using a mutually agreed upon vendor. This is included in licensure maintenance plans, or in any initial licensure project.
